Day 1 Week 1 Done

Post by CatLover74 » Mon Sep 14, 2015 1:41 am

Just stumbled on this the other day. I'm supremely unfit, and thought there was no way I could jog for anywhere near a minute without passing out or spontaneously combusting. I decided to give it a go anyway, because I'll be 41 next Tuesday, and if I don't do something soon, it won't be long before I reached the point that I couldn't even walk around after my 15 month old daughter.

Headed out this morning for the first time, and somehow I got through it. I tried to go as slow as I could while still continuing to move. My breathing was fine, but I had to stop for a minute 2 or 3 times to rest because my calves and shins were so sore. I got the workout completed in the end though.

Onwards and upwards from here.

Yep. Today it was my first ever day out. The weather's pretty good here at the moment. I think it only got to about 17 degrees Celcius, but it still felt warm enough outside.

Off to get some running shoes professionally fitted for whatever my foot type is, and hopefully that and stretching a bit more will take care of the lower leg issues.

Congrats on getting Day 1 done - sometimes just starting is the hardest part! Keep it up!

Day 2 done. Only had to stop once this time to pull up my pants that were falling down. It felt more challenging than Day 1 though. My calves and shins still hurt, but not as badly as Monday.
