Welcome back niblue - I have missed your posts.

Good to see you managed to get a 5K under your belt. Maybe try and get a few parkruns in? Anyway, keep posting :)

Cheers - Parkruns are looking more attractive now as at least they'd be flat!

I've been out another couple of times now - the first of those was another hilly run and I struggled a bit again and walked some of it. Today I was dropping my daughter off at the tube station anyway so I decided to run at one of the nearby parks which was a lot flatter. I found that a lot easier and managed to do the full 5K without walking, even if the time was pretty slow at 35:20. Just need to keep plugging away!

I'm currently up in Aberdeen on business but managed to head out for a brief run round the hotel. Still very slow but all I need is to get out more and I'm sure I'll start getting better.

I'm going to be up here a lot over the next year so will need to up my fitness regime to make up for all the eating out I'm going to be doing while away from home!

Headed out for a run in Aberdeen again this evening - managed a non-stop 5K this time, which was nice. Still very slow (35:48) but it felt a fair bit more comfortable than the previous run so fingers crossed that continues.

Congrats! Sometimes just having a comfortable run is its own reward!

I did a couple of runs when I was on holiday in Sri Lanka in July but picked up a cold or chest infection which took a while to shake off. I did head out tonight for a run though - the first in a couple of months - as I'm feeling a bit better. Plus I'm in Melbourne on business this week so didn't want to leave without a GPS trace of a run!
