Re: Just starting today!

Cheers! The internet has changed a lot in the last few years, I bet many now get support on Facebook using running apps on there etc. A few of my friends do but I wouldn't like to post on there (at least.. not yet, maybe once I get better ;)) I prefer to blog anonymously so an outlet like this is go...

Re: Just starting today!

Right a year later. Not a failure, more a delay as priorities changed. Though there was some failure involved! No time limit in reality though... I'm now 16lbs lighter than my first post here, and have been concentrating on weight and strength training, starting from nothing there but 3x 1hr session...

Re: Walk vs cool down

I just kind of keep at the same walking pace for both..

Re: Just starting today!

After two weeks over the holidays (mixture of being abroad and Christmas has meant I haven't found time to get out) it's time to get back at it. Starting at W4 D1 again hopefully won't have lost too much over two weeks. Need to do this!!

Re: Just starting today!

Back out this evening, first evening run as the mornings start to draw in. Want to keep in routine as much as possible. Ankle seems OK, am feeling a little pain there after but really nothing bad... so was probably inadvisable but I couldn't help but go

Re: Just starting today!

Not a good weekend, did W2D1 on Friday went very well. Went out for a meal on Friday night and tripped over off the curb walking home. Foot on the arch and above ankle is now quite bruised and was painful to stand on yesterday but a lot better today. Going to leave it a few days but hope doesn't aff...

Re: Just starting today!

Hey guys, thanks for the welcome! :D It's helpful to read other people's stories on here, some sense that it is all possible :) Finished W1D3 this morning! It might be psychological but found it a lot better today than just 5 short days ago. I think I'm beginning to work out my breathing and pace - ...

Just starting today!

Hey all, just turned 25. Realised I have allowed myself, through a new sedentary job 10+hrs a day and too much drinking at the weekends to get very unfit and shocked myself when I weighed myself for the first time in about a year to realise I'd put on over a stone in weight!! Now at 5' 9" (1.75m) ar...
